The European Human Genetics Conference (ESHG 2021), August 28-31, 2021 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 20 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. The daily credit breakdown as follows:

  • August 28, 2021: 6 credits
  • August 29, 2021: 5 credits
  • August 30, 2021: 5 credits
  • August 31, 2021: 4 credits

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/earn-credit-participation-international-activities.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

How to claim credits?

To claim CME credits participants will need to watch the respective sessions and answer the respective session evaluations by September 10, 2021 at 24:00 CEST (each evaluation will be available once the respective live session has concluded).

To accumulate credits over the conference, delegates will need to watch sessions from different slots from August 28-31, 2021. If they wish to accumulate the full amount possible for the day, they will need to participate and answer the evaluations of one session for each slot.

For each slot, the following number of credits can be collected:

Saturday

  • 10:00-11:30: 1,5 credits
  • 12:00-13:15: 1 credits
  • 15:45-17:15: 1,5 credits
  • 17:45-19:30: 2 credits

Sunday

  • 10:00-11:30: 1,5 credits
  • 12:00-13:30: 1,5 credits
  • 16:00-17:00: 1 credit
  • 18:30-19:45: 1 credit

Monday

  • 10:00-11:30: 1 credit
  • 12:00-13:00: 1 credit
  • 14:00-15:00: 1 credit
  • 17:00-18:15: 1 credit
  • 18:45-19:45: 1 credit

Tuesday

  • 08:30-10:00: 1 credit
  • 10:30-11:45: 1 credit
  • 12:45-13:45: 1 credit
  • 15:45-17:15: 1 credits

Note: Participants will not be able to accumulate multiple credits from sessions taking place in parallel. For on-demand educational sessions, you are able to accumulate CME credits through the “Meet the Educational Speakers’ Sessions”.
