Considering the development of the COVID-19 pandemic around the globe, the ESHG has decided to organise the ESHG 2021 Conference, originally scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland on June 12-15, 2021, as a virtual conference. This decision aims at providing clarity to our participants and sponsors and help them plan for a rewarding ESHG Conference.
It was not a decision taken lightly given the desire of all of us to meet again in person and share our latest research. Nonetheless, the current situation forces us to look at all factors and seek to ensure the safety and well-being of our delegates.
We are excited to build upon the experience of our first successful virtual conference in 2020. The Scientific Programme Committee is hard at work adapting the programme to a virtual friendly format, which will aim at being one of the best platforms for knowledge exchange in the area of human genetics, as expected on a yearly basis by the audience of the ESHG conferences.
For the 2021 virtual conference, participants will have access to over 100 hours of live sessions and even more on-demand content, which will be available for 3 months after the conference, for participants to watch at their own discretion. In addition, attendees will be able to network with the top companies in the field of genetics. All of this at your fingertips from anywhere in the world.
