Registration for ESHG 2021 temporarily closed!

We regret to announce that due to severe technical issues with the virtual platform that were brought to our attention only this week, the ESHG Executive Board has been forced to postpone the conference to August 28-31, 2021.

The conference organisation team is working hard on moving the event to a different platform and we will inform all stakeholders of all necessary details in the weeks to come.

In case you would like to cancel your registration, please contact us by email at until June 30, 2021 for a refund of your fee.
After this deadline, refunds will no longer be possible and all fees received will automatically be transferred to the August conference.

Applies to undergraduate & graduate students (MSc/PhD) working towards a degree in human genetics or an associated field. You will need to upload a copy of a Student’s ID or a confirmation signed by the head of department at the moment of your registration.

When registering for the conference, you will have to agree to the General Terms & Conditions for participants.

What is covered by the registration fee?

During the conference …

  • Access to all scientific sessions on the virtual platform (live sessions & on-demand sessions)
  • Access to all e-posters on the virtual platform (live e-Posters & on-demand e-Posters)
  • Access to all corporate satellites and sponsor pages
  • Access to the ESHG Networking Hub chat channels

After the conference …

  • Access to watch all recorded sessions of the conference until November 1, 2021

Payment modalities

Payment of Registration Fees, may be made in EURO by:

  • Credit Card: Mastercard, Visa and Diners Club.
  • Bank Transfer to the conference account  until August 1, 2021.
    Payments need to be made without charges to the beneficiary. Clearly state the registration number, invoice number and participant’s name when processing the transaction.

Cancellations and refunds

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing by e-mail  to the Conference Office:
Registration fees may be refunded if written cancellation has been received as follows:

– until June 30, 2021 : full refund
– from June 30, 2021: no refund

The cancellation will not be effective until a written acknowledgement from the Conference Office is received. In the case of over-payment or double payment, refund requests must be made in writing and sent to the Congress Office by e-mail. No refunds will be granted for unattended events or early termination of attendance, in case of cancellation of speakers or any other incidents during the conference, which are beyond the control of the conference organisers.

No exceptions to the refund policy can be made, including health or family issues. By registering to the ESHG 2021 – virtual conference, participants agree that neither the organising committee nor the conference office assume any liability whatsoever.

Reverse Charge

If your registration fee is paid on behalf of a business/company based within the European Union, you may opt to pay the VAT in your own country (REVERSE CHARGE). To claim reverse charge, please enter a valid VAT number in your online registration (under the step “payment”) If the system identifies the VAT number to be valid, only the net amount will be invoiced.

Note:  Because the conference organiser is based in Austria, Austrian businesses cannot claim reverse charge.

Press Registration

The conference is open to bona fide representatives of print and electronic media. Registration is free of charge to journalists in possession of a valid, recognised press card and who intend to report from the conference. Freelance journalists must also present a commissioning letter on headed paper from a recognised news organisation or publication. Please send your request and scan of your valid Press-ID to:

Once your request has been confirmed, we will send you the link to complete your online registration. Representatives of public relations companies, advertising agencies, marketing companies, pharmaceutical companies and their publications are not allowed to register as media.
